We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant with five or more years of recent experience to join our Needham office in a hybrid work environment.

About the Role

This position is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys tax work and values variety. The primary focus of this role is preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns, supporting ongoing tax planning, and working with a diverse mix of clients across many industries. In addition to tax work, you will support bookkeeping cleanup and light accounting tasks for small business clients as needed.

This is a role where you will take ownership of your work, collaborate closely with colleagues, and maintain strong relationships with clients who rely on your expertise.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
  • Support tax planning for clients across varied industries
  • Provide light bookkeeping cleanup and accounting support for small businesses
  • Perform attestation engagements and assist with related financial reporting
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver high quality service
  • Collaborate with internal team members in a supportive hybrid environment

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of recent tax preparation experience in a small or mid sized public accounting firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA or EA preferred)
  • Strong tax preparation skills across individuals, businesses, and trusts
  • Solid bookkeeping and reconciliation abilities
  • Experience with attestation engagements
  • Proficiency with Tax Application Software, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of AICPA and FASB standards
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and support clients across many industries
